AC-14 Carbon Steel Anchor Introduction

2025-02-08

AC-14 carbon steel anchor is a kind of high performance anchor widely used in Marine and Marine engineering fields, known for its excellent grip, lightweight design and strong adaptability.

1. Design features and advantages

High gripping performance: The gripping weight ratio (gripping force to weight ratio) of AC-14 anchors can reach 12-14 times, and some improved models (such as HHP) can even withstand 15 times their own weight, ensuring stability in complex sea conditions.

Lightweight construction: Compared to conventional anchors, the AC-14 anchors weigh 25% less while maintaining the same or even higher grip, significantly reducing transportation and installation costs.

Strong adaptability: suitable for a variety of seabed terrain, including soft mud, sandy, grassland and other environments, and is divided into "fully balanced" and "non-balanced" two designs, the former is suitable for high-grip balance chain, the latter is suitable for steel wire rope.

2. Application Scenarios and Installation Essentials

Main uses: Widely used in construction ships, passenger ships, ro-ro ships and other ships bow anchor positioning, as well as ocean rescue, offshore platform fixing and other scenes.

Installation requirements: A professional team is required to operate large lifting equipment, ensure that the anchor chain and anchor rod are firmly fixed through bolts and connectors, and choose the anchor chain size according to the seabed environment.
